Stewardship Message
Stewardship – Among the definitions of steward found in Webster's Dictionary, we find – a person morally responsible for the careful use of money, time, talents or other resources, esp. with respect to the principles or needs of a community or group. It is interesting to note that the definition says stewards are responsible for the careful USE of resources. Jesus simplified this for us in Matthew where he reminds us to not lay up treasures on earth where they will be consumed. We are to be stewards of all the gifts – financial, time and talents – that we have been blessed with. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
Prayer for Offering
Eternal God we thank you for this opportunity to return a portion of what you have provided so that your ministry may be strengthened. We pray that you will bless these gifts and the ministry in this congregation, in this community and throughout the world. Amen
